The rarest fabric in the world Chyangra Pashmina requires fibre of three goats and approx. fifteen days of production process to produce one single Laine de Mont Shawl.
Our products are extremely delicate and thus can only be spun in a traditional process by hand. Handloom weaving which is the oldest method of manufacturing lengths of fabric allows us to weave more delicate fibres.
This sustainable method doesn’t require electrical power and it allows us to maintain craft employment among the locals in the remote Himalayas of Nepal. This sustainable traditional production method also includes hand block printing which is one example of how we pledge to reduce our carbon footprint.
We believe every day is Earth day here at Laine de Mont and we, therefore are committed to operate in environmental friendly way with cruelty free compliance and fair trade practice.
We take pride in every style, every yarn, every pattern, every thread and every stitches.
